carries affrent impulses associated with vision.

III.oculomotor

controlling lens shape (reflex responses to varying light intensity and focusing of eye for near vision)

IV.Trochlear

provides somatic motor muscles to superior musclue( it's an eye muscle)

V.Trigeminal

major sensory nerve of face (conducts sensory impulses from skin of face and anterior scalp)also contains motor fibers that innervate muscles of mastication and muscles of the floor of mouth.

VI.Abducens

carries motor fibers to lateral rectus muscle of eye.

VII.Facial

supplies somatic motor fibers to muscles of facial expression and parasympatic motor fibers to lacrimal and salivary glands.
carries sensory fibers from taste receptors of anterior portion of tongue.

VIII.Vestibulocochlear

transmits impulses of sense of equilibrum from vestibular apparatus.cochlear branch transmits impulses associated with hearing from cochlea.

IX.Glossopharyngeal

somatic motor fibers serve pharyngeal muscles,and parasymphatic motor fibers serve salivery glands.
sensory fibers carry impulses from tonsils,taste buds ,chemoreceptors and pressure receptors of caratid artery.

X.Vagus

carry somatic impulses to pharynx and larynx.parasympathetic motor fibers supply heart and smooth mucles of abdominal visceral organs.

XI.Accessory

provides somatic motor fibers to sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles and to muscles of spinal and medullary fibers.

XII.Hypoglossal

carrries somatic motor fibers to muscles of tongue.
