It was a hard life. Adults and kids worked up to 14 hours a day in factories for very little money. They lived in run down tenements with up to 20 people in two rooms. No running water and trash

job opportunites, colleges and universitites near by, entertainment (like museums, parks, aquariums, etc) and more culture
