King of Argos who led the Greeks to Troy to retrieve his brother Menelaus' wife Helen. son of atreus. commander-in-chief of the Achaean army, He was married to the unfaithful Klytaimestra and killed upon his return from Troy by her and her lover, Aigisthos.

aias/ajax the greater
A Greek hero in the Trojan war whom Odysseus encounters in the Underworld. Aias killed himself after Odysseus was named a greater man than he, and still refuses to speak to his friend even after death.
aigisthos
The treacherous lover of Agamemnon’s wife, Klytaimestra. He conspired with her to kill her husband, agamemnon, and was later murdered in revenge by Orestes, Agamemnon’s son.
akhilles
most important greek hero that fought against the Trojans (member of Achaeans). He’s already dead by the time the Odyssey begins, so we only see him in the Underworld. in the Iliad Achilleus was given a choice: live a long and uneventful life, or get lots of glory and then die. Obviously, he chose get lots of glory, but when we hear him speak as a "shade" it looks like he regrets it. He says he would rather live in the real world as the lowliest slave than be Big Man in Hades.

Chryseis’s father, a man named Chryses who serves as a priest of the god Apollo, begs Agamemnon to return his daughter and offers to pay an enormous ransom. When Agamemnon refuses, Chryses prays to Apollo for help.
Apollo sends a plague upon the Greek camp, causing the death of many soldiers.

God of war. He is referenced in the Odyssey as the lover of Aphrodite, who was married. He and Aphrodite were caught – during sex – by her husband Hephaistos, and shown to the world while wearing his birthday suit.

one of the few goddesses immune to the enchantments of Aphrodite. She is the goddess of childbirth. Known as a fierce hunter as well as protector, Artemis is one of the major Greek goddesses. In the Odyssey, Artemis and her twin were said to have been the messengers of death to the people of the island of Syria. When the fates decided that it was time for a person to exit this life Artemis would swoop down with her silver bow and kill them. 05.123 ...Kalypso (Calypso) reminds Hermes how chaste Artemis had killed Orion with her painless arrows because he was the lover of Eos (Dawn).

You might be wondering what’s up with all this cattle – basically, Helios was famous not only for controlling the most essential body of matter in our solar system, but also for having some really awesome cattle that no one was allowed to touch, much less kill and eat.
